The Syanna Project...
is the result of composing music during decades, and never stop believing.
Music is the perfect way to express my personal evolution.

The Spiritual factor
is the major ingredient of my music.
You may already feel the vibes
without listening carefully.

Collabs with other artists:
adds a whole new vibe to the process! Nice, interesting and rewarding!

The Unexpected...
Music, composed with the best of intentions, can bring about changes on a deeper level.

Past to Present
Soon: original and surprising remixes of some unreleased, older tracks from the 80's and 90's.

The Dance factor
Dance. Let yourself go. Feel the vibes! Can you imagine of a better way to move body AND mind?

The Future

Collaborations with:
'Hypnotized' blends the raw energy of the technovibe with atmospheric depth. Vocals and lyrics are my work.
The Project
A project leaves room for the unexpected. Only time will tell where this may lead to.

1. Syanna : composer - singer/songwriter
What started as a hobby, became a true lifestyle: I could express my ideas and emotions through my compositions.
My early tracks often speak of the mysterious. As time went by, the spiritual vibe kicked in, but I didn't quite grasp the meaning then. It only revealed itself years later.
When I'm in the flow, I'm connected to my source of inspiration. Everything works out smoothly and the energy is very present. So, music is able to influence a part of ourselves that we barely know. Our subconscious mind grasps what the mind cannot perceive... and reacts in a way that doesn't always make sense.
If music has such a mysterious effect on the mind, would my tracks only serve my own evolution?
2. The Project : some 'other' aspects
In the pre-computer age, I used an Atari with Pro-24 (which later became Cubase). Worked fine, but only processed midi-signals. As computers, daws, instruments and plugins became increasingly performant, I evolved as well.
Back in the days I did symphonic and pop-rock and some ethereal stuff ('Chaos' is a nice example), but switched to dance later on.
'White Sky' on the other hand was composed for a documentary about the recovery of a WW-II airplane.
Working with other artists can be a real boost :-)) You learn new stuff and other methods. I adapted my style to techno, 'cause I adore its pumping, mesmerizing beats!
I often return to the past to breathe new life into my older (unreleased) tracks. This gave birth to the project 'Past to Present', which is currently in the pipeline.
These remixes from the 80's and 90's are truly retro, because I included the original track in the remix!
Sometimes it runs in the background, at times it's striking. It's a quite unusual process, and of course not perfect: the originals were recorded on cassette tape AND I had to play everything manually (no copy-paste then). But quite honestly, this only adds to the vibe :-) I don't think many musicians have ever done this.
Whatever technology I use, every track radiates these typical echoes from the past.
And so, the musical process includes every element of human existence:
Past - Present - Future.
Are you curious about the songs, the messages? Just give it a go. You never know if something attracts YOUR attention!

My latest tracks
We believe in love
We are failing
We are beginning to realize that we are failing as a society. We traded our human nature for power and money. Nothing else matters. Our technology has reached its pinnacle. What's next? Breakdown… imminent!
Invisible
The 5th dimension does exist, but human beings are unable to perceive it. I always believed in a better world, another reality... could this be it?
A long way
The road to perfection is long and full of obstacles.
It takes a lifetime, only to discover that life is not what we thought it'd be. When will we understand that we don't need to go
anywhere?
Finally !
The old world is slowly collapsing, the new world not yet in place... But, we're waiting eagerly!
Other tracks
Era of Despair : : This sad era lasted way too long. The desire for an other, better world has become stronger than ever. This is the end of an Era of Despair !
Day and Night : : Trying to describe the transition to the new era ...
Afterburner : : Engage your afterburner, take off and rocket towards the unknown... never to return!
My most important gear

Digital audio workstation:
Apple Macbook Pro 16" M4 max
This is my most important piece of kit. A delight to work with! It's fast and beautiful.
I don't regret having bought this suberp piece of technology: it literally handles everything!

Sound stuff:
Yamaha MG10XU Mixing panel :
A small but powerful allrounder. It's not only a mixing panel, but also an external soundcard. It works perfectly with Logic.
My Adam A7 studio speakers may be a slightly outdated, they still sound very okay to my ears.
My recently bought Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro headphones are considered to be THE standard in music production.

Other important stuff:
Novation Launchkey mk 2
Why put a weighty, full-size synth on your desk if this tiny thing does the job? Its ultra-compact size makes everything so much lighter! I also like the coloured tiles a lot.
It even fits under my computer keyboard when not in use: neat!
