The Project

A project leaves room for the unexpected. Only time will tell where this may lead to.

A mysterious hobby

What started as a hobby, became a lifestyle: I was able to express my ideas and emotions through my compositions.

My early tracks often speak of the mysterious. As time went by, the spiritual vibe kicked in, even if I didn't quite grasp the meaning. It only revealed itself years later.

When I'm in the flow, I'm connected to my source of inspiration. Everything works out smoothly and the energy is very present.

The subconscious

So, music is able to influence a part of ourselves that we barely know. Our subconscious mind grasps what the mind cannot perceive... and reacts in a way that doesn't always make sense.

If music has such a mysterious effect on the mind, would my tracks only serve my own evolution?

The early days

In the pre-personal computer age, I used an Atari with Pro-24 (pre-Cubase). A sequencing program that only transmitted midi-data. As computers, daws, instruments and plugins became increasingly performant, I evolved as well.

I loved symphonic and pop-rock and ethereal stuff ('Chaos' is a nice example), but switched to dance later on.
'White Sky' on the other hand was composed for a documentary about the recovery of a WW-II airplane.

Working with other artists can be a real boost :-)) You learn new stuff and other methods. I gradually made the switch to techno: I fell in love with the pumping, mesmerizing beats!

Whatever technology I use, every track radiates typical echoes from the past. This way, the musical process includes every element of human existence:

Past - Present - Future.

Are you curious about the songs, the messages? Just give it a go. You never know if something attracts YOUR attention!

We believe in love

What would we do if we could live forever? Does the title ring a bell? ;-)

We are failing

We are beginning to realize that we are failing as a society. We traded our human nature for power and money. Nothing else matters. Our technology has reached its pinnacle. What's next? Breakdown… imminent!

Invisible

The 5th dimension does exist, but human beings are unable to perceive it. I always believed in a better world, another reality... could this be it?

A long way

The road to perfection is long and full of obstacles. It takes a lifetime, only to discover that life is not what we thought it'd be. When will we understand that we don't need to go anywhere?

Finally !

The old world is slowly collapsing, the new world not yet in place... But, we're waiting eagerly!

Other tracks

Era of Despair : : This sad era lasted way too long. The desire for an other, better world has become stronger than ever. This is the end of an Era of Despair !

Day and Night : : Trying to describe the transition to the new era ...

Afterburner : : Engage your afterburner, take off and rocket towards the unknown... never to return!

My most important gear

Digital audio workstation:

Apple Macbook Pro 16" M4 max

This is my most important piece of kit. A delight to work with! It's fast and beautiful.

I don't regret having bought this suberp piece of technology: it literally handles everything!

Sound stuff:

Yamaha MG10XU Mixing panel :

A small but powerful allrounder. It's not only a mixing panel, but also an external soundcard. It works perfectly with Logic.

My Adam A7 studio speakers may be a slightly outdated, they still sound very okay to my ears.

My recently bought Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro headphones are considered to be THE standard in music production.

Other important stuff:

Novation Launchkey mk 2

Why put a weighty, full-size synth on your desk if this tiny thing does the job? Its ultra-compact size makes everything so much lighter! I also like the coloured tiles a lot.

It even fits under my computer keyboard when not in use: neat!
